Christoph Michael Wilhelm Jahn

A violoncellist, born in Erfurt, Germany in 1977. He got his graduate and postgraduate degrees at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar (Germany) in the class of professor Brunhard Böhme. He perfected his skills in the class of professor Bogomil Karakonov in Sofia (Bulgaria), as with professors Gerharda Mantel, Peter Leisengang, Christoph Ritter, Tobias Kühne, Jörg Wolfgang Jahn, Jürgen Wolf, Stephan Forck (Vogler Quartett) and Ulrich Beetz (ABEGG Trio) as part of his studies and summer courses. He started his professional music career in 2000 as a trainee for Staatskapelle Weimar orchestra, after which he was hired by Erfurt Symphony Orchestra, Kammerphilharmonie Köln and as section principal of violoncellists of Lohorchester Sondershausen orchestra. From 2009 to 2021 he worked as a tutti violoncellist and section principal of violoncellists in Serbian National Theatre Opera orchestra in Novi Sad, where he continues working with Kammerphilharmonie Köln orchestra as solo violoncellist and soloist on tours. He has actively worked with students of Academy of Arts Symphony Orchestra in Novi Sad since 2016 as violoncello section principal and he is a permanent member of Camerata Novi Sad orchestra. As of 2020, he holds the position of violoncello section principal for Belgrade Philharmonic. Christoph Michael Wilhelm Jahn performs both in the region and across Germany, Great Britain and Ireland, Australia, Spain, France as a soloist, solo violoncellist and a member of chamber ensembles and orchestras. He recorded music for RTS and RTV.
