Jožef Bisak, viola section principal

He has been a solo violinist in Serbian National Theatre Opera orchestra since 2006. In October of 2015, he successfully passed the audition for the position of solo viola in RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. He is a permanent member of No borders orchestra and Camerata Novi Sad chamber orchestra as a solo viola player. As of 2016, he is a member of Acies quartet (Austria) and records music and performs intensively as a part of it. He performed in the country and abroad with the aforementioned orchestras (Great Britain, Germany, France, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Greece).
As a soloist, he performed with the Academy of Arts symphony orchestra in Novi Sad and Camerata chamber orchestra in Novi Sad, he had numerous performances as part of chamber ensembles as well as solo recitals, and has cooperated with eminent world conductors and soloists during these performances.
He participated in the recording of a CD edition for Universal music GmbH Austria and Deutsche Grammophon in 2013 as solo viola. That same year he participated in the CD recording of chamber music of Isidora Žebljan – Balkan bolero as a solo viola, which was published in London in 2014. Along with Acies quartet, he recorded a CD for Gramola record company, Vienna in 2016 (Supersonic award of Pizzicato magazine), and in 2019 they recorded musical pieces of Glenn Gould and Friedrich Gulda for the same record company.
