Sergej Šapovalov, second violin section principal

He graduated at National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music in Kyiv in the class of professor Olga Rivnjak. He is a finalist and the winner of Sergej Taneyev special award (Russia) at an international competition as part of Academicapiano trio. He won the first award with the same ensemble at the 21st Century Art competition (Kiyv, Ukraine).
He worked with Kyiv Municipal Opera Theatre and Ballet as section principal and as a soloist. He was hired in the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Choir, Taras Shevchenko National Theatre (Ukraine) and Minneapolis Festival Orchestra (USA).
As of 2001, he lives in Novi Sad and works as concertmaster of Serbian National Theatre Opera orchestra. He is a member of Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra. He cooperated with Novi Sad Chamber Orchestra, Subotica Philharmonic, RTS Symphony Orchestra, Montenegro Symphony Orchestra.
